VEH Advisory Board
Donations to the VEH-PAC will be distributed to candidates who support the principles of Vermonters for Economic Health. Funds will be distributed by the VEH-PAC Advisory Board currently made up by the following individuals:
Frank Jordan - Chairman, Political Action Committee
Over the past four decades Frank’s career was concentrated in the electronics industry. Frank worked for several electronics firms in Massachusetts before working for IBM in New Jersey and then Vermont. While with IBM he held positions in engineering, management, and strategic planning. After retiring from IBM in 1993 Frank opened Jordan Associates, a consulting firm specializing in the electronics industry, which he ran until retiring in 2002. Frank received an undergraduate degree in Industrial Management and an MBA both from Boston College. Frank resides in Essex.
David Usher - Treasurer, Political Action Committee
David received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. His business experience includes customer service, Internet operations and strategy development, public relations, telecommunications operations and engineering, public policy development and regulatory affairs. His career includes service as a captain in the U.S. Army, employment with NYNEX (Verizon) in Maine and Vermont, and for Resolution, Inc. in South Burlington. Most recently he serves as a consultant to small businesses with Vermont’s Peer-to-Peer Collaborative, a part of the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund and via Usher Associates, LLC. For many years David has been involved in Vermont’s community non-profit sector. He was board chair of the Chittenden County United Way, Secretary-Treasurer of the Vermont Institute for Science, Math and Technology, board chair of the Vermont Telecom Advancement Center, board co-chair of the Vermont Youth Conservation Corps, board member of the Stern Center for Language and Learning, and board chair of the Vermont Health Foundation (a ‘parent’ corporation of Fletcher Allen Health Care). He serves on the Corrections Commissioner's Citizens Advisory Group and previously was a volunteer for 10 years at The Chittenden Regional Corrections Facility. David and his wife live in Colchester.
Paul Frascoia – Advisor
Paul Frascoia is President and CEO of Fab-Tech, Inc., an industrial product manufacturer located in Colchester, VT who employs in excess of 100 people and exports products through the world. Paul began his career with Deloitte & Touche in Boston before relocating back to Vermont and working for Gallagher Flynn & Company, Turtle Fur, and Burton Corporation in a variety of staff and management positions. Paul serves as a Board member or Board advisor to a number of Vermont based for profit and non-profit entities and is active in the community. Born and raised in Vermont, Paul graduated with a business degree from the University of Vermont and resides in Richmond.
Pete Gutgsell - Advisor
Pete Gutgsell is a Financial Representative for Northwestern Mutual in VT. Pete has been involved in new venture development in both entrepreneurial and corporate spheres, the latter for John Deere Credit. At work, Pete serves the financial and risk management needs of businesses and individuals. He earned his MBA from the University of Iowa and has worked in the insurance and financial services industry his entire career. He and his family reside in Jericho.
Matthew Malaney -Advisor
Matt is a Vice President with Eley Financial Management (EFM) in South Burlington, VT. EFM has provided investment advisory and financial planning services to individual, corporate and non-profit clients since 1989. Prior to joining EFM in 2007, Matt was a Sr. Vice President with TD Banknorth Wealth Management Group in Burlington where he managed the Vermont and New York investment departments. Matt has over 19 years of investment management experience, including stints at Citigroup Asset Management in New York, NY and Dean Witter Reynolds in Washington, DC. He has served as an NASD arbitrator and is a member of the Vermont CFA Society and the CFA Institute. Matt is a graduate of Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH and Missisquoi Valley Union in Swanton, VT. Matt currently makes his home in Colchester with his wife Jennifer and their two-year-old son Calvin. Matt has served as a volunteer for the United Way and is currently a Howard Center Community Friends Mentor.
David Rogerson - Advisor
David Rogerson is President and Senior Partner with Action to Excellence (ATX) of South Burlington, VT. ATX is a Management Consulting firm, serving clients throughout the U.S. and Canada, specializing in LEAN-Sigma methods, continual process improvement, strategic planning, and leadership development. David holds a BS in Business Management, MBA from the University of Vermont, and an MSA from St Michael’s College. He is a graduate of Kepner-Trego Strategic Thinking Program, holds a Professional Human Resource Manager (PHR) certification, and LEAN Applications Six-Sigma certification. David and his family reside in Essex.
James Ehlers - Advisor
James has successfully launched new businesses and resurrected previously failing organizations. Elk Publishing, Inc.’s publisher emeritus, he is an experienced communication, public relations and business management consultant assisting other businesses, as well as political campaigns, in these areas. The former naval officer and teacher is very active in the community, currently serving as the executive for a non-profit organization and as a member of the board of directors and treasurer for an area chamber of commerce. The current governor appointed Ehlers and the Senate confirmed him to the Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Lake Champlain. Ehlers has recently served on several committees appointed by both the legislature and governor, including in the role of chairman, on matters of fiscal and natural resources management. He volunteers his time with Meals on Wheels; the Colchester Food Shelf; HowardCenter mentoring initiatives, including acting as a big brother to three youngsters, himself; the Burlington LIONS; the Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program, hosting Iraqi war refugees in his home; and with his church parish. He makes his home in Colchester with his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Lillian.
